If you live in Vegas and you're a fan of paranormal lit or just like people watching, this event is not to be missed. Witches, zombies, vampires, shape-shifters and their fans/food WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE! Shouldn't you?
Four pretty well-known horror lit authors are kicking off their Paranormal Bender Tour at the Jewel Box Theater inside the Clark County Library on Flamingo Wednesday March 11, 2009 from 7-10PM. They'll also be hitting San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland in the next few days (see schedule below). Content precludes this from being a kid-friendly event, but it should be a haven for immature adults.
Dissatisfied with the book tours their publishers booked for them, Mario Acevedo ("Jailbait Zombie"), Mark Henry ("Road Trip of the Living Dead"), Caitlin Kittredge ("Second Skin") and Cherie Priest ("Fathom") have decided to do their own West Coast book tour in an old Impala.
Wish I could be their driver. I hope they're bringing some cameras and making a documentary.
They're going to read from their latest works, sign new releases and raffle off some brains. I mean, prizes. There's also supposed to be some special guests. I know that local resident, ex-showgirl turned paranormal thriller writer Vicki Pettersson of the Zodiac Series ("The Scent of Shadows", "The Taste of Night", "The Touch of Twilight") will be attending and suspect that she might talk about the fourth installment of her Zodiac Series and/or read from her work too. (I'll post a follow-up in the coming dayz to let you know everything that went down.)
